Napoli are closing in on the signing of Real Madrid centre-back Rafa Marin, with an agreement expected to be reached by Wednesday. Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia sport reports that Napoli are close to agreeing a deal for Marin after talks with Real Madrid went positive. With a deal expect to be complet in the next few hours or at most by Wednesday.

Marin has impressed for Alaves in the 2023-24 season after joining on loan from Real Madrid. The 6ft 3in right-footed centre-back has yet to make an official appearance for Los Blancos’ senior side.UFABET

Napoli, under new manager Antonio Conte are looking to strengthen their squad. Starting with a strong defence with 22-year-old Marin set to be a long-term addition for Napoli.

The Partenopei have previously keen on Torino’s Italy international centre-back Alessandro Buongiorno. And Atletico Madrid defender Mario Hermoso, who is out of contract.

Spanish media report that Real Madrid are willing to let Marin leave the team for around 15 million euros. With a buy-back clause in the future for double the price.

          Marin impressed last season on loan at Alaves, prompting Napoli to sign him.

Currently, only the final details regarding the terms of the buy-back. And the image rights of the players are still being negotiated.
